Who We Are

Built by people who have run the systems we now help rebuild.

We didn’t learn healthcare from a slide deck. Our team has led ambulance services, run health service districts and worked the calls. That experience is the difference between a report that sits on a shelf and a plan that works.

Leadership

Reuben Farnsworth

Founder & Principal

Reuben founded Prometheus Innovation Group to give rural healthcare the same strategic firepower large systems take for granted. He works in emergency medical services and on the wildland fireline, writes the grants that fund rural health transformation, and leads system audits and strategic frameworks for rural EMS agencies and the counties that oversee them.

He builds things. He has little patience for titles and none for systems that ask good people to compensate for bad design.

Values

What we hold to.

Truth Over Comfort

We tell clients what the evidence says — even when it isn’t what anyone hoped to hear.

Fairness

Rural patients deserve the same standard of care as anyone else. Rural providers deserve systems that don’t burn them out.

Ownership

We put our names on the work and stay accountable for whether it actually works.

Sustainability

If it can’t be funded, staffed and maintained after we leave, it isn’t a solution.

What Makes Us Different

Operators, not observers.

Most consultants study a system from the outside. We have been accountable for running one — the budgets, the schedules, the 3 a.m. calls and the board meetings.

  • We’ve done the job. Our recommendations come from people who have carried the responsibility.
  • Plan and funding together. The strategy and the grant that pays for it come from the same team.
  • Rural and frontier by design. Not urban models shrunk down — solutions built for low volume, long distance and thin staffing.
  • We stay for implementation. A plan is only as good as the first year of putting it to work.
